History of the Making of Mai.Edu.My Online

The idea towards the introduction of this homepage ini was inspired back in 2002, as an alternative approach in introducing the Maahad as an education institution, alongside the objective of providing an information channel to the society.

However, the lack of expertise and tools has become a setback in which due to this, the idea had to be called off. In the meantime, the maahad was in search of ways and ideas to obtain funding in order to purchase the needed components in stages.

In April 6, 2003, the maahad has applied for the registeration of domain mai.edu.my to MYNIC. In April 18, 2003, the application was approved. The first web page was developed as trial in April 2003. It is here where the Maahad was starting to work on realizing its dream. To date, the Maahad al Islah web page has been updated 3 times. The second time was in early 2004 and in January 2006, the latest version has been launched.

The web page is divided into a number of sub-domains, which some of them are:
• mail.mai.edu.my : Webmail
• ppu.mai.edu.my  : Pusat Pendidikan Ummah web page
• almansor.mai.edu.my : Mosque of Al Mansor web page
• alumni.mai.edu.my : Alumni web page
• ibtidai.mai.edu.my : Madrasah al Ibtidaiah al Islamiah web page.

In long-term plan, will evolve to become a portal which will host more types of additional information including Alumni Profile Database, Education Portal, Blogger, e-Commerce, 2 version of languages, and many others. Kindly pray that this dream will become a reality one day.

Idea pembinaan hompage ini, telah diilhamkan pada tahun 2002 sebagai satu wadah alternatif untuk memperkenalkan Maahad al Islah sebagai institusi pendidikan selain menyediakan saluran maklumat kepada masyarakat.

Bagaimanapun, di atas sebab kekurangan kemahiran dan peralatan menyebabkan impian tersebut terpaksa ditangguhkan. Sementara itu, pihak maahad memikirkan kaedah-kaedah, idea serta mendapatkan dana untuk pembelian komponen secara berperingkat.

Pada 6 April 2003, pihak maahad telah memohon pendaftaran domain mai.edu.my kepada MYNIC. Dan telah disahkan pendaftaran tersebut pada 18 April 2003. Halaman web pertama telahpun dibina sebagai langkah percubaan pada April 2003. Di sinilah bermulanya, pihak maahad menjana impiannya agar terlaksana. Sehingga kini, Halaman Web Maahad al Islah telah bertukar strukturnya sebanyak 3 kali. Kali kedua pada awal tahun 2004 dan pada Januari 2006 akan dilancarkan satu versi baru.

Selain itu, halaman ini dibahagikan kepada beberapa subdomain di antaranya ialah;

Dalam perancangan jangka panjang, struktur website ini dibina berbentuk portal yang akan menyediakan maklumat tambahan seperti Alumni Profile Database, Portal Pendidikan, Blogger, E-Commerce, 2 versi bahasa dan sebagainya. Doakanlah untuk kami agar perancangan ini berjaya dilaksanakan satu hari nanti.
