About Us

Maahad Al Islah has been established in December 1988, built in the middle of paddy fileds in the traditional Malay village of Sg. Manik. It was registered by the Perak State Islam Department under the registeration number 6 JAPK/SAR/3/89, as a secondary Islamic school and is bound to the Perak Islamic School Enactmen JAIPK/SMAR/TI.10/97.

The school was set up due to the need of having secondary level of education institution which aims at developing a generation who strive for the excellence in worldly and ukhrawi knowledge and education, in order to cope with the current challenge represented by the globalization era.

Maahad Al Islah offers the Penilain Menengah Rendah (PMR), Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia and the level 4 Thanawi certification.

The school also provide the curriculum required for the preparation to sit for the Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) examination compulsory for furthering study to the all time-honoured University of Al-Azhar in Egypt. The examination is made available by the Perak State Islamic Department.

The students hailed from different states and districts. Whereby the instructors are experienced, and are certified from universities, capable enough in facing the challenge in current education institutions.

With regard to the relation with the locals, although separated by fence, the students are well exposed in context of interaction with the local community. This is a result of the bond they formed during their time spent together in the mosque. Not just by praying together, they also joined in the recitation of the Quran, general study of the Islamic religion, working and many other activities.

The azam and istiqamah towards the struggle to enlighten the communities has always been the talisman to the progress of Maahad Al Islah. With the prayer and true faith in Allah SWT from all parties, Maahad al Islah will continue to fight to expand the society�s belief in Islamic education

Maahad Al Islah telah ditubuhkan pada Disember 1988  yang terletak di tengah-tengah jelapang padi dan perkampungan Melayu tradisional Sg. Manik.

Didaftarkan dibawah Jabatan Agama Islam Perak di bawah No. 6 JAPK/ SAR/ 3/ 89 sebagai sebuah sekolah menengah agama rakyat dan tertakluk pada peruntukan dalam Enakmen Sekolah Agama Islam Negeri Perak JAIPk/SMAR/TI.10/97.

Ia diwujudkan demi menyedari perlu adanya sebuah institusi pengajian peringkat menengah untuk membina masyarakat yang berusaha memantapkan budaya ilmu duniawi dan ukhrawi bersesuaian dengan cabaran semasa era globalisasi ini.

Maahad Al-Islah menyediakan mata pelajaran Penilaian Menengah Rendah (PMR) dan Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) dan mengeluarkan sijil 4 thanawi. 

Di samping itu, sekolah ini  juga menyediakan kurikulum untuk persediaan mengambil Sijl Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) bagi persiapan untuk melanjutkan pengajian ke Universiti al-Azhar, Mesir. Peperiksaan tersebut dikendalikan oleh pihak Jabatan Agama Islam Perak.

Pelajarnya adalah terdiri daripada pelbagai daerah dan negeri. Manakala pendidiknya terdiri daripada kalangan yang mempunyai pengalaman lama serta berkelulusan universiti yang mempunyai wawasan untuk menghadapi cabaran semasa.  

Dalam hubungan masyarakat setempat, walaupun dikelilingi pagar, pelajar akan didedahkan dalam konteks interaksi islamik dengan masyakat atau penduduk setempat.  Ini kerana para pelajar dan penduduk tempatan bersama-sama mengimarahkan masjid.  Selain daripada solat berjemaah, mereka juga bertadarus, pengajian umum, gotong royong dan sebagainya.

Azam dan istiqamah terhadap usaha memberikan tarbiah kepada masyarakat menjadi azimat kepada kemajuan Maahad Al Islah.  Doa dan harapan kepada pertolongan Allah s.w.t. yang tidak putus-putus daripada semua pihak, Maahad Al Islah sedikit sebanyak dapat merintis sama pada satu keyakinan masyarakat terhadap sistem pendidikan Islam.
